When to use it

When you want to tell a brand's values, more than its product features, as a story of about 60 seconds. Good for anniversary and campaign launch videos.

Techniques that build this scene

  1. LightSilhouette

In Shot 1, show a fisherman against the dawn sky only as a black outline. With only the shape visible and no face, it reads as everyone's story, not one particular person's.

To recreate it: Write 'backlit silhouette against a pale orange sky' so the AI doesn't paint in a bright face.

  2. EditingGraphic match cut

Join the baker's kneading hands in Shot 2 and the potter's hands pressing clay in Shot 3, placed in the same spot of the frame. It conveys, without dialogue, that different people reach for the same value.

To recreate it: Put 'hands at the center of the frame' in both shots, and make the start frame of Shot 3 from the last frame of Shot 2 as a reference image.

  3. CameraHandheld

Film the hand close-ups in Shots 2 and 3 with a slightly shaking handheld camera. It looks more like a documentary than an ad, which brings authenticity.

To recreate it: Pin down the amount of shake as light, like 'subtle natural shake'.

  4. CameraCrane / Jib Shot

In Shot 5, the camera rises over the seaside village to reveal the whole coastline. The ending widens from one person's story to everyone's.

To recreate it: Instruct only 'crane shot rising' and leave the sky above empty to use as room for the brand line.

  5. EditingL-Cut

Carry the last word of a narration sentence into the next picture. Words and picture stagger by a beat, so the montage flows in one breath.

To recreate it: Lay the narration track first and put the cut boundaries half a beat ahead of the sentence ends.

  6. SoundSidechain Ducking

The music automatically lowers only while the narration plays and rises again when the speech ends. The speech is clear, and the emotion of the music stays alive.

To recreate it: In your editing software's auto-ducking feature, set the narration track as the trigger.

  7. Look16mm Film

Apply a visibly grainy 16mm texture to every shot so it looks like documentary film footage instead of a polished ad.

To recreate it: Include 'shot on 16mm film', and if the texture differs between shots, apply the same grain once more in editing.

One-click prompt

Cinematic multi-shot sequence, 15 seconds total. Shot 1 (3s): static extreme wide silhouette of a lone fisherman pushing a wooden boat into a calm sea at dawn; Shot 2 (3s): handheld close-up of an elderly baker's floured hands kneading dough at frame center; Shot 3 (3s): handheld close-up of a young potter's hands pressing clay on a wheel, hands in the same place in frame; Shot 4 (3s): slow push-in on a woman cyclist smiling at the top of a hill, golden backlight; Shot 5 (3s): crane shot rising above a seaside town at golden hour as people walk and cycle, empty sky above. Consistent warm natural light, 16mm film grain, hopeful honest mood, no text.

Why this combo

Join similar hand movements of different people at the same position, and the message "everyone is heading toward the same value" comes across without a line of dialogue. The texture of 16mm and handheld feel more like a record than an ad, which gives authenticity.

Editing order

Join shots 1–4 as a montage over the narration, and join shots 2 and 3 with a graphic match cut, where the hands' position and movement are the same. Carry the last word of a sentence into the next picture with an L-cut, and lower the music with sidechain ducking only while someone is speaking. Over the final crane shot, show one line of the brand statement and the end card / logo reveal with a fade in and out.

Making it with AI

Each shot has a different person, so there is less burden of keeping faces consistent. But you must write the light direction ("window light from the left") as the same sentence in every prompt for it to look like one film. Hand close-ups easily melt the fingers, so always check the draft, and cover odd frames with another person's shot. If the film texture comes out different from shot to shot, lay the same grain on again in editing to unify it.
