Put big, flashy text on screen for a cast member's inner thoughts, a description of the situation, and the crew's jokes, to point out the laughs.
Korean variety shows, YouTube vlogs, reactions, and mukbang, and edits of online stream replays. They carry the funny moments even in short-form watched without sound.
When you generate, make a scene with a clear expression and reaction ("surprised expression, freezes for a moment"). Leave empty space above or beside where the captions will go. In editing, show the caption for 0.5–1.5 seconds right after the reaction, and make it pop in size along with a sound effect. If you set a color and font for each emotion, like surprise, anger, or being moved, viewers read them faster. Saving them as a Premiere Pro Essential Graphics or CapCut text template makes it quick. In ffmpeg, make the captions as PNGs and put them on with overlay=enable='between(t,a,b)'. Keep their position separate from ordinary captions that transcribe the dialogue.
Burn playful variety-show captions with bright yellow text, thick magenta outlines, and a bold look in the lower third: ffmpeg -i in.mp4 -vf "subtitles=subs.srt:force_style='FontSize=18,Bold=1,PrimaryColour=&H0000FFFF,OutlineColour=&H00FF00FF,BorderStyle=1,Outline=4,Alignment=2,MarginV=40'" -c:a copy out.mp4. Add a pop sound on emphasized words.
