움직이는 그림으로 보기 →불필요한 중간 과정을 잘라 긴 시간을 몇 초로 줄인다.
출발 → 도착, 아침 → 저녁, 오랜 세월 건너뛰기.
시간·날씨 변화는 컷 사이에서 처리한다. 빛·옷·소품 중 하나를 바꿔 "시간이 지났다"로 읽히게 하고 디졸브나 박자에 맞춘 컷으로 잇는다.
Three-shot sequence with a locked camera on the same cafe window table, hard cuts, 1.5 seconds each: Shot 1, morning, an empty table with a steaming coffee cup; Shot 2, afternoon light, the cup half empty and a notebook open; Shot 3, night, a lamp on and a stack of finished pages.
